Diamond Community Park at Rocking K

Rocking K’s first phase includes the initial construction of 13 acres of the 20-acre Diamond Community Park. Positioned along Rocking K Ranch Loop Road, the park is easily accessible to residents. Within the first 13 acres, residents will find multi-purpose fields, basketball, and pickle ball courts, innovative playscapes, a zip- line, and “Little Arizona” a small spray pad depicting the state’s mountain ranges and watercourses. Bathrooms are available to residents at the park, along with Ramadas for picnics and relaxing. Click here for a map of the Diamond Community Park.

Community Walking and Biking System within Rocking K

An extensive network of hard surface sidewalks and natural soft paths and trails join each neighborhood to each other, the community and integrated open space. Along Rocking K Ranch Loop Road and through the green belts, residents can walk, hike, run, cycle or mountain bike.

Saguaro National Park

The Rincon Mountains are home to Saguaro National Park East and Rocking K is adjacent to both. This beautiful national park is just out Rocking K residents’ front door. The mountains in the Saguaro National Park range from an elevation of 2,670 ft. to 8,666 ft. Saguaro National Park contains 6 biotic communities that include: desert scrub, desert grassland, oak woodland, pine-oak woodland, pine forest and mixed conifer forest. Numerous trails exist within the Park, the Visitor’s Center and Gift Shop provide additional history and facts about the Park. www.nps.gov

Rincon Valley Farmers and Artisans Market

Imagine a farm within the community. Wander the booths at the Rincon Valley Farmers and Artisans Market where commercial and family farms from all over Arizona bring their seasonal produce each week. Talented local artists bring handmade arts and crafts to sell and organic specialty foods, coffee and spices are also available. The Rincon Valley Farmers and Artisans Market is a community gathering place that features live music and special events.

The Rincon Valley has a rich history steeped in community and tradition. Once a small railroad village, the town of Vail has always been highly sought after for its majestic mountains and open ranges. Homesteaders have called this place home since 1881 and many farms and ranches were established here in the Rincon Valley. Since the 1900’s various iterations of this ranch have evolved. In 1950 a Chicago surgeon purchased the ranch and named it the Rocking K. Today, the Rocking K Ranch Stables and Boarding offers trail rides, horse-drawn wagon rides, horse boarding, team roping and other equine activities, as well as a large private ramada for gathering with a beautiful view.

Rocking K is a proud Dark Sky Community. Promoting responsible lighting and dark sky stewardship, which makes for amazing and often magical night sky viewing.
